Let them know about Serenity Horse Haven and how we are helping starved and abused horses.

Serenity Horse Haven is available 24 hours a day to assist Texas Law Enforcement agencies with the rescue and care of horses that are seized, have been hit by cars or trucks on highways, or that are estray (running loose on the highways). We try to maintain no more than 10 rescue horses at a time, but we try to never turn away a horse that has been seized due to being starved, neglected, or abused.

Serenity Horse Haven needs your help saving horses!

Many people do not realize, that when a horse abuse case is reported to law enforcement:

■  An Officer will investigate.
■  If there is justification to seize a horse, a seizure warrant must be issued.
■  In most cases, the Judge will ask prior to issuing a seizure warrant,

"Where are you going to place the horse, if the horse is seized?"

As most law enforcement agencies do not have facilities to care for critically neglected and abused horses.

That's where Serenity Horse Haven is available to help. We focus on being available to law enforcement agencies any time we are needed. We try to not turn away horses that have been seized by law enforcement. We take the horses in, get them rehabilitated, and try to find them homes by getting them adopted. Most of the horses are near death when we get them. In some cases, it takes us about a year to get a horse recovered and adopted. Some of our rescued horses will permanently remain under our care as family members in our sanctuary due to age, injuries, or special needs.

Can you spare $5 per month? Will you miss a cup of coffee or a few candy bars per month when you know that your donation can help provide feed and care horse in need. Your pledge to make a monthly donation of $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, or any amount you would like to make to help Serenity care for the horses will mean that Serenity Horse Haven can continue to assist Texas Law Enforcement agencies in rescuing critically neglected and abused horses. Your donation will help us buy feed, hay, and provide medical care for the horses.

You may think that your $5, $10, or $25 monthly donation will not make a difference, but it does. When combined with other monthly donations from supporters like you, we are able to provide more care for the horses in need. If twenty people sign up to make a $5 monthly donation, that’s $100 per month to help Serenity. So every monthly donation adds up, no matter how small the donation. Please sign up and pledge your $5, $10, $15, $20, or $25 monthly donation now.
